Leidsche Rijn Centrum celebrates highest point

Date: 26.06.2017

The largest construction pit in the Netherlands will become the best new location in Utrecht at the start of next year. That's when a complete city centre - featuring over 100 shops and restaurants, 750 apartments and offices, a library and a cinema - will appear all at once.

On 26 June 2017, Kees Geldof, alderman at the Municipality of Utrecht, commemorated - to the sound of trumpets and a shower of confetti - reaching the pinnacle of the imposing 25 metre-high entrance hall at the Jumbo Foodmarkt on the Brusselplein. This is the largest food market in the Netherlands.

Milestone

Rogier Hendriks, commercieel directeur a.s.r.

In the spotlight

Jaco Plompen, director at Dura Vermeer Bouw Midden West, and Rob van der Jagt, director at Trebbe West, were also in attendance when the highest point was celebrated. They are part of an experienced construction consortium that is currently working on De Frederik - the building that is in the spotlight this afternoon.

Grand opening in the second quarter of 2018
